Ubar

The slightly less Lost City of Ubar

The Lost City of Ubar is located in a remote desert location, and is ruled by an immortal Queen, Ishtar-Re, who is a (presumably) metaphorical sister to Queen Albia of England. Fifteen years prior to Agatha's visit to England, rumors of the city's location reached Albia via visiting dignitaries, and her Royal Archaeological Expeditionary Force was dispatched in an ultimately successful effort to re-establish contact.
