It's vozzling time! Mskala (talk) 12:25, 5 May 2025 (UTC)

Here we come a-vozzling Among the leaves so green; Here we come a-wand'ring So fair to be seen. Dperra.sr (talk) 13:36, 5 May 2025 (UTC)

I think Kjarl is basically an extra dimensional Phil or perhaps like the guy who wrote Beowulf. Writing an EPIC story in the form of a poem / song. Said EPIC literary work will then be assigned to future high school students in English class as reading material, which will then be resoundingly underappreciated by said students. Does that sound about right? Dperra.sr (talk) 13:36, 5 May 2025 (UTC)

In earlier panels, he's being carried via both arms being held. In the last panel, his left arm is free - are we going to see a plummeting vozzler? Gbardani (talk) 20:36, 5 May 2025 (UTC) is

In earlier panels the smack-threatening Dreen is also being supported by both arms and both of their arms seem to be free in the last panel. If we see a plummeting Vozzler, it seems likely he will have company. But maybe Kjarl's flash of Vozzler Vision™ made them both levitate. Or maybe it made the Torchmen invisible. Or maybe Kjarl and the Dreen quickly switched to really tall stilts. Or maybe… -- 🔧William Ansley (talk) 01:46, 6 May 2025 (UTC)
I Prefer to Keep It Simple, Silly 😋 The torch men are simply out of frame. The last two panels are meant to be close up views. In kjarls case the close-up view is close enough that the torch men could be out of frame. With the dreen that explanation does not fit. However, another explanation for the missing Torch Men is that the frame represents a type of tunnel vision where the focus is supposed to be just a head shot. This is done frequently in live action cinematography. Also frequent in live action cinematography is stuff that appears in the background that does not belong. Things like an extra in a medieval battle scene, wearing a digital watch or a 1930s period piece with a modern car in the background behind vintage autos. All things that the editors miss. This is the same class as those. Dperra.sr (talk) 02:21, 6 May 2025 (UTC)
I was simply indulging in excessive snarkiness. My final "Or maybe..." was "Or maybe Phil made a mistake." Or an artistic decision (one which I am not crazy about). To me, it is clear that it is impossible for the Torchmen to be out of frame in the final two panels—given how they are gripping Kjarl and the Dreen in all the earlier panels on the page, their hands and lower arms would have to be visible even in these close up shots in the final two panels. The most reasonable in-comic explanation is that the Torchmen suddenly shifted their grip for unknown reasons, perhaps to provide more dramatic close ups for the more important characters in the scene (so, basically, another form of "Phil made an artistic decision".) -- 🔧William Ansley (talk) 02:17, 7 May 2025 (UTC)

I'm wondering if this battle causes something else. Consider this earlier page: https://www.girlgeniusonline.com/comic.php?date=20180629 Fred1740 (talk) 00:46, 7 May 2025 (UTC)

Good reference, Fred1740! Perhaps we are finally seeing a "proof" of that particular solution to Tobber's equations. -- 🔧William Ansley (talk) 01:41, 7 May 2025 (UTC)
For what it's worth, mathmatics had something to do with Kjarl beinng pulled into this dimention. Fred1740 (talk) 00:46, 9 May 2025 (UTC)
