I'm assuming the text inside the <> brackets is Othar and the Geisterdamen speaking the Geister language. Xlsfd123 (talk) 04:20, 6 September 2024 (UTC)

I think it's safe to assume that the Geister front center and clearly leading the rest is Eotain if any of that group IS her. WHich further cements that the fezed Geister (back and right of the group) is NOT Eotain (there was a case of mistaken atribution of identity no long ago).AuthYY (talk) 09:12, 6 September 2024 (UTC)

I never even considered that the one that got frisky with Oggie was Eotain. If we know anything about the Geisterdamen, it is that honor and loyalty above all drives them. While we do not know about the current relationship between Othar and Eotain I believe we can safely assume that Eotain and Othar are well on the way to a committed bonding. In my view getting frisky with Oggie would have been an extreme act of disloyalty and very dishonorable for Eotain. Therefor the Geisterdamen that got frisky with Oggie was not Eotain. Let alone that she talks about Eotain in third person, too :-) AuthYY (talk) 17:53, 6 September 2024 (UTC)
I also find think it is interesting that Othar believes it would go very badly for the Geisterdamen if Othar were forced to fight the six of them. More than one of them are clearly insulted by Othar's statement. Which Othar softens by saying it would be sad. Dperra.sr (talk) 12:43, 6 September 2024 (UTC)
I think the implication of the last panel is that it'd also be very sad if they killed him. Mskala (talk) 14:23, 6 September 2024 (UTC)
It would be very sad either way. I still think Othar believes he would be forced to kill the Geisterdamen. Which would be Very sad for Othar. Really, it's Othar. While he may have a grandiose overinflated opinion of his capabilities there is some justification beyond his overbearing bravado to back that up. We may never know the answer to who will kill whom since Othar is taking steps to "protect" the Geisterdamen by having them stay behind. Dperra.sr (talk) 15:35, 6 September 2024 (UTC)
I agree that the "front and center" Geisterdame is Eotain. I'm sure Eotain is part of the group for multiple reasons.
  • Why wouldn't she be? There is no reason to believe Eotain is off on a "special mission".
  • We have never seen more than six Geisterdame as part of Othar's merry band (as far as I can recall) and on this page the gang's all here.
    • Even on the first occasion when Othar appeared with all six of them, it seems clear that one of them is supposed to be Eotain; the one furthest to the left (from the viewer's point of view), who is looking at Othar adoringly.
  • On this page, Othar puts his hand under the chin of the frontmost Geisterdame (presumably, since she would be the closest), holds her head up, and gazes into her face at rather short range in an at least moderately intimate gesture. My assumption is that he would only do that with Eotain. I also think Eotain is the only Geisterdame who addresses him as "Otar".
