Are we seeing the tying up of loose ends? Martellus bites the dust, Gill is murdered by his own troops, Tarvek becomes the storm king and assumes control of the Wulfenbach empire and marries the Heterodyne girl. Dperra.sr (talk) 13:51, 30 August 2024 (UTC)

That would be too neat and clean for the Foglios style. This is pretty much the "beyond the impossible" we've seen before. Martellus and Othar board and take over Castle Wulfenbach just as Agatha lifts the time stop and Gil is about to be stuck in the time stop and attacked by members of the Black Squad (Everything, Everywhere, All at Once._. Kjarl does something that saves the day - maybe. Fred1740 (talk) 17:11, 30 August 2024 (UTC)
AND...AS Klaus lunges for Agatha, Zeetha shouts "Hey Chump! I'm your daughter!". Fred1740 (talk) 17:13, 30 August 2024 (UTC)
Not sure that would work to distract him, since he already knows.  :) Bkharvey (talk) 19:37, 30 August 2024 (UTC)
That is somthing I'm not sure of. He knows he has a daughter he left in Skifander. Fred1740 (talk) 20:36, 30 August 2024 (UTC)
He may not be 100% sure, but he's sure enough to have warned Gil about her as soon as he saw her with Agatha. N'est-ce pas? Bkharvey (talk) 04:23, 31 August 2024 (UTC)
I don't regard that fact Klaus warns Gil about Zeetha to be conclusive evidence that he recognized her as his daughter rather than just a Skifandrian warrior, but it certainly is suggestive. -- 🔧William Ansley (talk) 16:25, 31 August 2024 (UTC)
The fact that Klaus says "You!" when he sees Zeetha instead of "A Skifandrian!" or something like that suggests that he recognizes her as an individual. -- 🔧William Ansley (talk) 16:01, 31 August 2024 (UTC)
I see two possibility's, First Zetha may look so much like her mother that he mistakes Zetha for her mother out of shock without taking age into account. The other is that Klaus sees a familial resemblance to his wife. It does not follow that he would jump to the conclusion that Zetha is his daughter. No doubt Klaus was well acquainted with Zetha's extended family besides Zetha's mom. The "YOU" reaction may just be because Zetha resembles other members of Zetha's family. As for, "Saving Gil's life", I do not really think Gil's actual life was ever in danger. I believe Gil would have been well treated, but he would have lived a life as little more than Breeding stock. What Klaus told Gil was true from a certain point of view but was also misleading. The subtext here was Klaus saved Gil from that life. We know that Klaus was not above using selective truth to manipulate people and even Gil. Dperra.sr (talk) 16:48, 31 August 2024 (UTC)
All we do know is Phil's comment on Reddit concerning Skifander "They don't like twins." and from the novels that Klaus left Skifander when Zeetha was one month old. And when confronting Zeetha at the Circus, he gets out "Zanta..." before the wasp cuts him off. Fred1740 (talk) 18:39, 31 August 2024 (UTC)
I see quite a few problems with that "Gil is murdered" theory: Gil just SAID the good Captain was gonna live. And he's, of all the medically trained Sparks of the comic, second only to Dr. Sun himself. Plus, he needs to be around - Agatha already has ordered the castle to prepare a room in her seraglio for him, remember? AuthYY (talk) 23:19, 31 August 2024 (UTC)

I find the idea that Gil could be dragging around a person for an extended period without noticing that his companion had suddenly (or even gradually) become a dead weight to be quite unconvincing, even given Gil's Jäger-strength and the adrenaline rush he is no doubt experiencing. -- 🔧William Ansley (talk) 16:09, 31 August 2024 (UTC)

Three words: Rule of funnyAuthYY (talk) 23:19, 31 August 2024 (UTC)
It is not a funny situation to me. I prefer to think of it as yet another instance of "beyond the impossible", of which there are already plenty in the story, thank you very much! -- 🔧William Ansley (talk) 16:49, 1 September 2024 (UTC)

It occurs to me there is no reason that Gil has to operate with one hand. Unless the effect that allows the members of the Black Squad to free others from the time stop is magically arbitrary, it should work with any bare skin contact, not just hand holding. Surely if Gil is operating on a knife wound, he is going to have to cut away the squad member's coat and shirt and will be touching his skin (and raw flesh) during the procedure. Gil could also take off his shoe and sock on one foot. Then the wounded squad member could grab Gil's foot with his other hand, allowing Gil to release his grip on the soldier's hand. Or Gil could just hike up one pants leg until he exposed some bare skin. -- 🔧William Ansley (talk) 16:56, 1 September 2024 (UTC)
