Veni, vidi, wiki (I came, I saw, I edited).
- Bot-Lucrezia doesn't look very happy. Is she participating in this unwillingly? And props to the Foglios, using her to find Skifander instead of Zeetha would never have occurred to me. --Geoduck42 (talk) 04:24, 21 July 2021 (UTC)
- There were only two other factions/people I felt the Steampunk Divers could be working for beside Dr Monahan/Lady Steelgarter, Zola and the #2 Geisterdamen behind Lady Vrin. Zola is not very likely, as she couldn't have known Lunevka would be frozen. The Geisterdamen would be the only other known villain in-comic who would have an interest in recovering Lunevka. Wether Dr Monahan is about to unleash the Steampunk Divers, or a yet-to-be-seen construct/minion remains to be seen. Doug Relyea (talk) 11:40, 21 July 2021 (UTC)
If that's a Mirror, it's not one of the original ones, because it lacks the ornate frame that, aside from being artistic, contains (if I remember correctly) the controls you adjust to say where you want to go. Bkharvey (talk) 04:52, 21 July 2021 (UTC)
- It does have the ornate frame. Look at the rightmost edge of the page, especially the upper right corner, as well as behind the scaffolding that Steelgarter is standing on. I don't believe it has been explicitly established in the comic that the carvings/jewels in the Mirror's frames are controls, but it seems very likely due to the way the Abbess was just before Agatha, Tweedle, etc., went through. -- 🔧William Ansley (talk) 10:50, 21 July 2021 (UTC)
- I was noticing that... the mirror in Castle Heterodyne is also somewhat distorted in that the horizon line is (also) roughly at the foreground characters' eyes, near the bottom of the mirror, and yet we seem to be able to see over the top or something (could be under the bottom of the top, but then the inside of the sides would be visible). I'm guessing the violations of perspective (as 4D objects) are normal for them. ⚙Zarchne (talk) 20:32, 21 July 2021 (UTC)
Oh, my! Is Lucrezia being used as an Operating System for a Queen's Mirror? That will obviously turn out well. sark Bosda Di'Chi 10:58, 21 July 2021 (UTC)
Looking through the links so thoughtfully provided on the Queen’s Mirrors page, it seems like several mirrors show perspective that is out of synch with their surroundings. For example, this one where you can see the top of the monolith even though the viewer is looking up from the base. Perhaps this has already been discussed, but a possible interpretation is that the “mirrors” are projections into our world of a multidimensional object like a tesseract. Images and people are able to travel through the object like a tunnel, but we only ever see one “face” in any given location.
_However, each working mirror is vertically and horizontally aligned with the frame even though it might be pitched forward. Going by appearances, the mirror that Steelgarter and Monahan are working on is misaligned both in roll and yaw. Perhaps if they get it aligned like the others, it will begin to function.
_There are a related bunch of thoughts about time being a dimension in GGWorld and how the shock of the Take-Five Bomb would have caused vibrations, disruptions throughout time and other dimensions, but these thoughts are a work in progress. 9thGeneral (talk) 19:13, 25 July 2021 (UTC)
It was proposed in the Reddit discussion for 26 July 2021 that this page shows the Temple of Nammah where the four queens gathered and were attacked by Lucrezia. Named: ; Shown:
