The wiki pages don't just write themselves, join in on the fun.

Aww, Gil evened the score. Bummer. Especially Agatha's face in the last panel. (Although we didn't get to see her face after Tarvek's kiss, because of Krosp's interruption.) Speaking of Krosp, it has to be that what's frightening him is an Uplifted cat, not just any old cat, even of the female persuasion. (Huh, that old silly expression isn't so silly any more now that one can choose one's gender!) Bkharvey (talk) 07:12, 5 April 2021 (UTC)

I agree about Krosp, it's not just because there's a cat. Uplifted, yes, but I suspect he has smelled something peculiar, like you said on friday, and wants to warn Agatha that Martellus is not dependent of her any more. Svesjo (talk) 08:16, 5 April 2021 (UTC)
I hope you all are right, actually, but I stand by my prediction, and say that it's because it's another cat, and she's cute and she HISSED at him! --Geoduck42 (talk) 02:07, 6 April 2021 (UTC)
I think Krosp meeting another intelligent female cat would be reason enough for him to freak out, but Martellus may have included something else in the package. That said, they're both clearly pretty interested in the other with the primping and preening, so the attraction appears to be mutual. Solomon Keyes (talk) 04:57, 6 April 2021 (UTC)

Is it just me or would now be a great time for him to pull out his letter and leave it with her? Or maybe hand it off to Higgs with instructions "if the worst should happen." I mean, does she realize he's been waiting for 2.5 years already? In addition to the rest of the story arc? The amount of restraint Gil has been showing is absolutely phenomenal. Instead he has to resume chasing down his old lead - Harken Maganox and anybody else tied to the Queen of the Dawn (How did Gil never make it to Paris? Does he even know about Zola?) or Lucrezia. Seriously, too many loose ends. DLcygnet (talk) 06:22, 6 April 2021 (UTC)

And if we're breaking up the band again, then resolution on THIS scene won't be taking place any time soon. So... we need to find the lantern, drop Zeetha and Higgs off in Skifander, lose Tarvek and Martellus somehow, free Von Zinzer from Mechanicsburg, reunite with Gil, defeat the Other, but find a sympathetic version of Lucrezia in Muse of Time form and collect a helpful Geisterdame. Sounds like at least another 5 to 18 books to me. DLcygnet (talk) 17:15, 6 April 2021 (UTC)
Hey! What do you mean, "lose Tarvek"?! Bkharvey (talk) 17:21, 6 April 2021 (UTC)
Of the core group, Zeetha, Higgs, most of the Jaegers, Tarvek, and Violetta are absent; presumably because the authors hadn't written these characters in yet, but then why is there a Geisterdame in the picture? Or the Muse of Time for that matter? There had to be a certain amount of forethought. Therefore, my assumption is that all of these people are either otherwise occupied, dead, or found their happily ever after. For example, Zeetha has been gone long enough to perhaps need to assume her duties as the newly (Jaeger-)Immortal Queen of the Skifander with her tougher-than-he-looks consort. Violetta could be busy as the new Storm Queen, keeping Martellus and Seffie in line (The former could still end up as king of the Mer-people and Seffie could still end up marrying Gil). The Jaegers may be in another part of Mechanicsburg (IF that's where they are. The Other's forces converging on Mechanicsburg implies this.) Meanwhile, Tarvek and his interdimensional traveling friend need to be sorted out. My best guess was that Tarvek is due for a redemption arc after his betrayal in Sturmhalten and makes the ultimate sacrifice for Kaja Agatha when Dr Vapnoople returns. Because. Because. Because. Because. "Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends" - John 15:13. First guy Phil Gil has too many responsibilities on his shoulders with the Empire to pull this this sort of thing off without creating more plot holes, making Tarvek the disposable side of the love triangle. Edited above for clarity and out-of-story information. Including Agatha and Gil being author avatars (at least initially). DLcygnet (talk) 17:44, 7 April 2021 (UTC)
My assumption has been all along that when that scene is resolved the story will be essentially over. But I don't know for sure, of course. I am sure that the Professors are not making it all up as they go along. They have a plan to get to the end. At one point the plan was reduced to a summary that could be placed in a vault as part of a movie deal or something (which of course didn't happen... they've also said they want to retain creative control). Now, they've also said the plan changes as they get better ideas (most famously, the Jägers), but there's always a plan. So we may not (e.g.) be going to Africa before Skifander and the Tower of Crystal Lite™ or whatever, but ... they know how we're getting there, or somewhere equivalent.⚙Zarchne (talk) 00:14, 7 April 2021 (UTC)
It was my impression that Seffie intercepted it. Gil sent it via the master of Paris since he would know where Agatha actually was. I doubt he just wrote it then held on to it. Fred1740 (talk) 01:24, 7 April 2021 (UTC)

Just after midnight Tuesday here in California, and a new page (not yet colored) is up on Patreon. It's one thing waiting an hour or two before posting about a new page, but waiting 24 hours is cruel and unusual punishment! Bkharvey (talk) 07:12, 6 April 2021 (UTC)

That is great news for two reasons. First, some people are paying cash to the Professors monthly. This gives them a benefit for that cast (and maybe encourages more donations). Second, it means the professors have a buffer of a partially done page. Some creators will pause a comic if they don't have a two month buffer, but some organizations aren't quite that, um, organized. Argadi (talk) 19:30, 6 April 2021 (UTC)
