Veni, vidi, wiki (I came, I saw, I edited).

I suppose we're eventually going to learn what Zeetha reading Ovalform (a/k/a Skiff?) has to do with it. Probably something in that book written in it. On another topic, I'm surprised anyone thinks "the recorded time and distance" would be a reliable guide to the whereabouts of a ship carrying the Lantern. We know that for some reason Steelgarter is obsessed with Skifander, and thus it's about 99% likely this island that Neena has pinpointed is also the one that Steelgarter fled to, where Monahan is lurking with her rats. There'll be an ancient Skifanderian outpost on the island, or somesuch. --Geoduck42 (talk) 16:50, 24 February 2021 (UTC)
I agree that the island Neena is indicating is almost certainly Dr. Monahan's island. I am less sure about the ancient Skifandrian outpost. Although it's hard to think of another reason that an ancient tablet with archaic Skiff writing would have anything to do with Monahan's island hideout; it does seem that, if any kind of Skifandrian ruins exist on the island, Steelgarter must not be aware of this fact. If she was, considering how desperate she is to acquire a Skifandrian artifact, I don't think she would have been so reluctant to go there, rats or no rats.
This page reminded me of a comment I meant to make when Kaja posted the "Story so Far" page after the Mechanicsburg Solstice Story ended. On that page, Kaja reported (in panel 5) that "Soon they will be leaving England for a mysterious island where they hope to find Prende's Lantern…". But, until the revelation on today's page, Agatha and company didn't know their destination was an island, mysterious or otherwise, they just knew that it was a location that a certain ship had been to, somewhere in the "cursed waters" of the Deepdwellers. -- William Ansley (talk) 01:05, 25 February 2021 (UTC)
Lady Steelgarter mentions the island here , last panel. Doug Relyea (talk) 01:39, 25 February 2021 (UTC)
I'm thinking Ovalform 27 was the written language of the Mirror builders. (the way English became the language of commerce from 1700 to 1900) The Skiff are descended either from them or were servants/minions to the Mirror-building sparks. I still think the gold plates here and here are data storage of locations for the Mirrors. Doug Relyea (talk) 01:39, 25 February 2021 (UTC)
Yes, I realize that Steelgarter mentioned the island on the page you indicate and I believe it was already obvious to the readers by the time that Kaja posted her "The Story So Far" page that it is where Agatha and company are going to eventually find Prende's Lantern. What I am saying is that, up until Neena's revelation on today's page, Agatha and company didn't know where their destination was or even that their destination was an island. All they knew was that they would be searching through "a vast area— with hundreds of potential landings, above and below wave!", as Hadrian Rakethorn says in panel 4. -- William Ansley (talk) 04:00, 25 February 2021 (UTC)
Okay, now I understand. Doug Relyea (talk) 04:05, 25 February 2021 (UTC)
