:::Probably should do a page about it here on the Wiki, but I can't think of a good title. The Globe? Geography? --[[User:Geoduck42|Geoduck42]] ([[User talk:Geoduck42|talk]]) 23:56, 16 October 2020 (UTC)

"He 'just knows.'" Quote of the day. P.S. They fixed the spelling of "Homlomium" on the previous page. Bkharvey (talk) 06:15, 16 October 2020 (UTC)

P.P.S. Wait, does that machine show the sun revolving around the Earth? Bkharvey (talk) 06:27, 16 October 2020 (UTC)

Its an Orrery. Intended to show which parts of the planet are in daylight, which parts are in night/darkness, and the relative location of the Moon and it's phase. Doug Relyea
Right, thanks for reminding me of the word. I know what one is, but Wikipedia says the last known geocentric orrery was 1650, well before our story no matter what that missing date on the tomb is. After that it's all heliocentric ones. Bkharvey (talk) 10:26, 16 October 2020 (UTC)
Which is why I described it as I did. Or maybe the Professors didn't exist on a parallel Earth, since this orrery has no planets. Even discounting the Antikythera mechanism, there were 5 known planets in 1350. Doug Relyea
And along the lines of what William Ansley suggested on Wednesday, I'm surprised it isn't rendered on the back of a very large turtle. Doug Relyea

We have a canonical map of Europa! Apparently dating from before the Sinking. I expect extensive discussion! -- SpareParts (talk) 17:10, 16 October 2020 (UTC)

Canonical? I wonder. We've already seen a globe which looks much more like our earth. And if the new one is supposed to be an accurate depiction of Agatha's world at any point in its history, Africa has a gigantic chunk taken out of it. Maybe Phil/the globemaker just got lazy sketching in the details. --Geoduck42 (talk) 17:23, 16 October 2020 (UTC)
