By the typing of your thumbs, something wiki this way comes.

Sorry, as I write this the Sneaky Gate is closed and the Monday comic isn't up yet. Did I get your hopes up? You must be reading this on Sunday and must be one of those people who constantly check the activity stream in this wiki. I'm not like that, I rarely check Recent Changes more than a few dozen times a day.

But if you want to watch for future comics there is a web page which checks the state of the sneaky gate. Argadi (talk) 21:45, March 15, 2020 (UTC)

Argadi, the "sneaky gate checker" web page is great, although for completeness sake it really should include Saturday and Sunday as well. It is extremely rare for the Foglios to post pages on the weekend, but it has happened. I remember one specific instance when a page that should have been posted as a Monday page was accidentally posted with a Sunday date stamp, although it was later changed.
If you look at the code it always includes today and the next three days so weekends are covered in that aspect. In the past it only handles the most recent MWF. Argadi (talk) 19:24, March 16, 2020 (UTC)
Thanks for the clarification. I should have checked the code. -- William Ansley (talk) 22:00, March 16, 2020 (UTC)
In any case, I like the page. If you created it yourself, thank you; if not, please pass my thanks on to whoever did. Is there any objection to adding this link to the The Sneaky Gate page? -- William Ansley (talk) 16:38, March 16, 2020 (UTC)
Feel free. My personal view is any link can be posted anywhere (well, anywhere useful) without permission unless someone tells you otherwise and gives you a reason you support. (I also have the web page source archived on my local system.) Argadi (talk) 19:24, March 16, 2020 (UTC)
OK, thanks! -- William Ansley (talk) 22:00, March 16, 2020 (UTC)

Nah, it's been almost two hours since I last checked.  And yet I'm first...  I guess I'm just lucky.  :-)  So, typo in panel 6, and an object lesson on the downside of the spark.  I was a bit confused, though, because after Karl's warning they were already saying "Maybe we don't need the flamethrowers" and so on.  So Agatha insisting on removing them shouldn't have been such a shock to the other sparks.  In fact, shouldn't have been necessary.  And Karl's warning is starting to look less goofy and more useful in the last panel.  Bkharvey (talk) 06:18, March 16, 2020 (UTC)

So now we know what Karl sees as improbable in Human Sparks. And it speaks volumes about what we didn't see in the Science Dome. Namely: Weapons. Doug Relyea (talk) 06:24, March 16, 2020 (UTC)
Did too, including a meat grinder, but most of the weapons were monsters.  It's just that underwater in a dome under pressure you really don't want weapons that are likely to blow a hole in the wall.  Bkharvey (talk) 09:18, March 16, 2020 (UTC)
Bkharvey, I'm not seeing the typo you refer to in panel 6. Could you spell it out, please? -- William Ansley (talk) 22:32, March 16, 2020 (UTC)
The first line, "Wait! If hook," should be "Wait!  If we hook."  (reported) Bkharvey (talk) 02:18, March 17, 2020 (UTC)
Thanks! I just couldn't see it. My "good eye for typos" was definitely on the fritz for this page. -- William Ansley (talk) 21:44, March 17, 2020 (UTC)

I’m thinking Agatha sees a connection between a costume loaded with weapons and a costume that responds to “faint subsonic waves”. The improbability is (was) that something doesn’t fire accidentally and result in a civilization-and-life-ending diplomatic incident. Scientician (talk) 09:57, March 16, 2020 (UTC)

Is this our first confirmation that Rakethorn is actually a spark? Argadi (talk) 14:40, March 16, 2020 (UTC)

He mentioned it on the page following the one in which we and Agatha first met him. —Undomelin 15:38, March 16, 2020 (UTC)
I don't call that confirmation. Sometimes people lie. Argadi (talk) 19:24, March 16, 2020 (UTC)
Sometimes they do, but doing so in that case would be quite pointless, I think, as it's a lie that would betray itself pretty fast, when one is working as a spark's assistant. Yes, there are non-spark engineers and scientists in the GG world, but none would be able to intuitively follow along like a spark. Imagine Merlot trying to fake it. —Undomelin 18:45, March 17, 2020 (UTC)

Panels 3 and 4 of today's page reminded me of another similar instance of Sparky enthusiasm for extreme (and extremely Sparky) solutions to a problem. See panels 4 and 5 of the linked page. -- William Ansley (talk) 22:55, March 16, 2020 (UTC)

Hmm... im trying to figure who said what in the last panel. I think my beautiful design comment is from Trelawney, can we do that is Gils, yes maam is Blakethorn's, and dont wanna and under protest are Marcellus's. Im not sure who said fine. Im leaning toward Gil but it could be anyone. Lapointdm (talk) 00:41, March 17, 2020 (UTC)

I think the "Fine..." and "Under protest" bits would be from the same speaker. Mylorite (talk) 10:16, March 17, 2020 (UTC)
The speech bubbles imply two separate speakers. Argadi (talk) 15:08, March 17, 2020 (UTC)
the WHAT on the penultimate panel has 4 tails which suggest 4 speakers. Im assumming panel 5 is Agatha plus comments from the other 4, and since Tarvek is in the panel they are not from him. Lapointdm (talk) 15:41, March 17, 2020 (UTC)
