"Private Jäger" made me realize that I don't understand the economy of Europa. Human beings seem to have jobs, and the treasure of the Heterodynes includes gold coins, but do the various non-human species collect salaries? Or are they fed in big no-cost dining halls? If anything like real feudal/premodern societies or many fantasy universes, a lot of people have jobs that basically pay "room and board and a very small allowance for miscellaneous personal expenses not provided as part of your room and board package". Constructs and other creatures who are in some sense magically bound to their creator/master probably get a place to live/sleep, all or most of their meals provided for, clothing and weapons and other reasonable equipment provided for, and have the right to request from their master any other reasonable expenses (health care, for example). Additionally, they likely get cash or other bonuses on special occasions (major holidays, celebrations of a great battle victory, birth of the master's first child, etc.) and, if they are soldiers of some sort, a cut of any booty or loot.
