Clearly, sparks are like little boys with toy soldiers, or little girls with their dolls, but the difference between them and children is that they are playing with real people. When you compare them to our own equivalent, Thomas Edison or Nikolai Tesla for instance, you break out into a cold sweat. Who was the madman who came up with the machine gun thinking he could make war obsolete by making it too terrible to fight a war? Trouble was, the powers that be never fight in their wars. Guys like Moloch von Zinzer do. The trouble with that is, guys like Moloch von Zinzer find themselves going along with the sparks. It is simultaneously gruesome and amusing. So, it wasn't quite as trivial as I thought it would be to jumpstart Mittelmind, but a Junior Scientist Lightning Kit took care of things nicely. Snaug is just so cute in panel 3 - and in the last panel. I think Snaug sees von Zinzer's true calling quite clearly - even if he doesn't quite yet. If we're to take the windows into the future as such, I don't think von Zinzer ever really "gets out" -- though the trilobite with wings may mean Agatha gets herself a flying castle also. -- Zerogee 00:35, September 21, 2010 (UTC)
