Should mechanical monsters count? Only ones that are officially amok, of course, the others are just Weapons. Specifically, I was thinking of that spider clank that killed Olga. It was even called "crab monster" in the dropbox. (Oh, and Anevka calls herself a monster, but she was probably being ironic. Still...) -Acacia 02:50, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
- My inclination would be to reserve the term "monster" for baddies of the biological kind, but I'm willing to listen to arguments to the contrary. -- that old bearded guy 03:04, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
- I'm disinclined to think this category will be useful - Von Pinn's called a monster outright by von Mekkahn, and Klaus by implication and extension (and he's right, but not for the usual reasons). 'Monster is as monster does' is too much a matter of opinion to be categorised. Corgi 07:26, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
- The category is aimed more at the expanding menagerie of gross stuff in places like the Deepdown, some of which will get articles as the wiki fleshes out. One of the things about a wiki is that you can write articles on, and have categories for, all manner of trivial stuff as it grows. As for the subjectivity of "monster is as monster does," are you trying to tell me that getting a good debate going as to the monstrousness of Von Pinn, etc., is a bad thing?... -- that old bearded guy 13:26, 11 April 2008 (UTC)

"Tourists"? As monsters?[]
HELL NO!
I've worked at Disney, & I assure you that Tourists (ug) are much worse than Monsters!
This anti-monster slander should be removed from the page!--Bosda Di'Chi 14:12, April 7, 2011 (UTC)
- It is hard to tell if you are being serious. Are you?
- Because it is funny I would tend to let it ride. --Rej¿¤¤? 20:55, April 7, 2011 (UTC)
P.S. They are on this page because of the category at the bottom of thier page. It is the only one they have. What do you propose to do about it. (Alternately choose wisely and say what you did.)
- I did work at Disney, and I can't tell myself! If it's Tourist Season, why the Hell can't we shhot them?--Bosda Di'Chi 21:29, April 7, 2011 (UTC)
Extradimensional beings[]
I added Category:Extradimensional Beings to this (it didn't have a category page before) because it seemed clear that they are "monsters", but now I'm seeing that these monsters are supposed to be a subtype of Category:Constructs, which I'm pretty sure they are not. So... maybe we should have a "non-construct monster" category? ⚙Zarchne (talk) 01:51, June 18, 2020 (UTC)
