General Banks is the man in charge of the Wulfenbach ground forces during the battle with the Polar Lords outside Mechanicsburg.

Appearance

Banks is a light-skinned man with brown eyes, rusty-red hair, and a chinstrap beard. He has a large, aquiline nose and prominent cheekbones. He is perhaps in his forties. In his every appearance in the comic so far, he is accompanied by a small owl that almost always perches on top of his hat. He has been referred to as General Owlhat on this wiki for this reason and his owl is called Hat Owl.

Identification

Although this character has never been directly addressed as General Banks in the comic, it is established in a conversation between Fleet Captain Sunhillow and his bridge officers that a "General Banks" is in charge of the theater of operations during the battle with the Polar Lords. The character shown on this page is then seen directing the battle. And finally, after it is established that Gil is going to meet with Banks and Sunhillow for debriefing after the battle, this character is seen seated across from Sunhillow in the situation room.

In the comic

Banks commands a seemingly losing battle against the Polar Lords until a Sparky anti-Polar Lord weapon devised by Princess Neena with design and construction help from Agatha and Rakethorn, along with numerous other nameless Sparks or engineers, ✣ turns the fight around. Although everyone braces for a counterattack, the Polar Lords' forces all retreat, much to their surprise.
